Premodern Fight Club is a monthly Magic: The Gathering tournament in the Premodern format, the community-created format that brings together the cards printed from Fourth Edition to Scourge. We meet one Sunday a month at Afterlife (Barcelona). We follow the list of legal sets and banned cards published on the format's official website (premodernmagic.com). When you register in the app you'll need to upload your decklist with main deck and sideboard, which only the organisers will see. Any legal reprint is allowed, including gold-bordered ones, and we accept proxies as long as they can be identified without any doubt; black-and-white photocopies and sloppy cut-outs are not allowed. If you can, play with old-frame, old-art cards: it's part of the charm of the format. You sign up from the app with your Google account, and places are limited to 50 players. The entry fee is 20 euros, in cash on the day: 5 euros cover your drink and Afterlife letting us use the venue, and the rest goes to prizes. We play Swiss rounds, best of three, with the number of rounds depending on attendance, followed by a Top 8 single-elimination playoff. Each round lasts 50 minutes; when time is called, 5 extra turns are played and, if nobody has won, the game ends. Agreements between players to split results or prizes are forbidden. We come to play, have something to eat and drink and have a good time, so the main rule is simple: respect others. Anyone who doesn't will have to leave the tournament and won't be welcome back, although we trust it will never come to that.
