Elves
Llanowar Elves into Priest of Titania into Gaea's Cradle into a turn-three lethal swing. Wirewood Symbiote bounces elves to untap your mana dorks for explosive mana.
Game plan
A combo-aggro tribal deck powered by Gaea’s Cradle — the most powerful land ever printed for creature-heavy strategies. Cradle taps for one green mana per creature you control. With six or more elves in play (easily achieved by turn three), Cradle produces more mana than most decks see in an entire game.
Llanowar Elves and Fyndhorn Elves (identical cards, effectively 8 copies of the one-drop mana elf) accelerate into turn-two Priest of Titania, which taps for green mana equal to the number of elves in play — often 4–6 mana on turn two. This mana fuels everything.
Wirewood Symbiote is the combo enabler: once per turn, return an elf you control to your hand to untap target creature. Bounce a spent mana elf to untap Priest of Titania, tap Priest again for a second helping of mana, then replay the bounced elf. With Quirion Ranger (return a Forest to your hand to untap a creature) adding a second untap, you generate enormous mana.
Multani’s Acolyte cantrips when it enters — it’s an elf that draws a card, keeping your hand full. Survival of the Fittest is the tutor engine: discard a creature, search for any creature and put it in your hand. This finds Deranged Hermit for the board, Caller of the Claw for sweeper protection, or Wirewood Symbiote for the combo.
Deranged Hermit is the late-game bomb: four 1/1 squirrel tokens that all get +1/+1 (so they swing as 2/2s), plus the Hermit itself — a wide board that untaps with Cradle for a lethal alpha strike.
The deck’s weakness is Engineered Plague (naming “Elf” kills everything) and Wrath of God. Sideboard Caller of the Claw answers sweepers by generating bears when your elves die.
