Data compiled from 17 Premodern Challenges on MTGO (Sep 1–Sep 29, 2026-10-06). MTGO publishes the decklists of players who finish with a positive record, so match win rates skew above 50%. Archetypes are auto-classified from signature cards. Card images via Scryfall.
Enchantress is the most-played deck
Enchantress put up 86 decklists (16.7% of the field), up from 11.5% in June, and passed Stiflenought for the top spot. It also made the most Top 8s: 31 of the 136 Top 8 slots across the month, twelve more than any other deck.
It converted that into two trophies, and both went to the same player, 4FunNoWin, on September 1 and September 10.
Stiflenought plays less and wins more
Stiflenought dropped from 21.4% of the field in June to 14.2%, and still won 5 of the 17 Challenges, more than any other deck.
Those five wins came from two players. PedraStone won three (September 4, 8 and 18) and LuffyDoChapeuDePalha won two (September 12 and 22).
Terrageddon wins four, Psychatog is back
Terrageddon nearly doubled, from 3.6% to 7.0% (36 lists), and won four Challenges: September 13, 17, 25 and 26, each by a different player. Its match win rate was 58.0%. In paper, the same deck won the Czech Premodern Championship on September 26.
Psychatog nearly tripled, from 2.2% to 6.2% (32 lists). It has the best match win rate of any deck with 20 or more lists, 58.9%, and won the September 3 Challenge.

Who fell off
Landstill nearly halved, from 8.2% in June to 4.3%, though it still took the September 20 Challenge. Dream Halls went from 18 lists in June to two.
Burn grew from 7.9% to 9.3%, the third most-played deck, and won on September 19. Goblins made 20 appearances; its best finish was fifth.
The other trophies: Replenish won twice (September 11 and 24) and Moneyball Black took the last Challenge of the month, on September 29.
A new event: the Challenge 16
Seven of this month’s seventeen events were a smaller Challenge 16 (24 to 32 players), running alongside the usual Challenge 32 (40 to 46 players this month). Both are counted.
How this data was collected
We gathered every Premodern Challenge held between September 1 and 29, 2026, parsed each event’s results, and sorted every deck into an archetype by its signature cards.
- Which lists are published. MTGO publishes up to 32 decklists per Challenge, the top finishers. At the Challenge 32s that leaves out the bottom of the field; at the Challenge 16s, which had 32 players or fewer, every list is in. Win rates are best used to compare decks with each other, not as absolute odds.
- Archetypes are auto-classified by signature cards. Survival of the Fittest decks are split by shell because they play so differently. Edge-case brews go under their most defining card, and a handful land in “Other”.
