All 380 seats for the Spanish Premodern National Championship (Nacional de Premodern España) are sold. The organizers added 30 seats in May and those went too, as did the Friday and Sunday events, at 330 seats each.
It’s in Cáceres, a full weekend of Premodern from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8 at the Gran Hotel Don Manuel. It is run by the Dados Fuera game store and the Premodern Extremadura community, and it’s on our events calendar, where you can add it to your own calendar.
Three tournaments
| Day | Time | Event | Entry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friday, November 6 | 16:30 | Welcome event | €20 |
| Saturday, November 7 | 10:00 | Nationals | €40 |
| Sunday, November 8 | 9:00 | Nationals: Top 16 | |
| Sunday, November 8 | 11:00 | Marathon | €20 |
Times are local (CET). There are no tickets left, but the organizers keep a waiting list in case a seat opens up; their contacts are on Dados Fuera’s event page, in Spanish.
Where to watch
Karn’s Academy is streaming Nationals on its YouTube channel, in Spanish. It’s the same crew that streamed the European Premodern Masters in Valencia.
The record is on the line
The Premodern attendance record belongs to Lobstercon 2026: 317 players in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In Europe, Premodern Eurofest drew 272 players in Valencia less than a month ago. With 380 seats sold, if everyone shows up, the biggest Premodern tournament ever will be played in Cáceres.
What to expect from the meta
The closest reference is Valencia: the European Premodern Masters Top 8 had three Stiflenought decks, but Iván de Castro won with Natural Order Elves. Stiflenought is still first on our tier list, and Elves comes in as the Valencia champion.
If you’re playing, you can prepare your sideboard plans against every deck in the meta with the Sideboard Planner and take them with you on your phone.
After the event
We’ll post the results and the Top 8 decklists here as soon as the organizers share them. Good luck to everyone traveling to Cáceres, and thanks to Dados Fuera and Premodern Extremadura for putting this weekend together.
